INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRITING FULL AND WORKING PAPERS
1. LENGTH OF THE PAPER
The length of full papers is restricted to 8 pages, while working papers are limited to 4-6 pages. This limit includes the reference list, but excludes the structured abstract which should be provided in a separate file. Please note that submitted papers exceeding this length will be returned to the author(s) to make the appropriate modifications.
2. STRUCTURED ABSTRACT
There is no need to include a structured abstract in Full or Working Papers. Please ensure that the final version of your Structured Abstract on ConfTool reflects the content of your submission
3. PAPER FORMAT
The paper must begin with the title, followed by a blank line and then the authors’ names with affiliation(s) on the following lines. The main text should begin with a short introduction followed by a review of relevant literature, a description of the problem or challenge, the research work, results/analysis, discussion and conclusions. References should be included and placed after the conclusions.
4. PAPER LAYOUT
Please adhere to the following layout guidelines. A template is also available from www.islconf.org ; to download it, Click Here
Fonts: Please use Verdana 11 pt. bold for the paper title and Verdana 10 pt. for the text, tables and figures. All section headings are to be in Verdana 10 pt. bold. Sub-headings are to be in Verdana 10 pt. bold. A blank line should appear at the end of each section.
Margins & Paper Size: Paper size is A4 with all margins set at 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left and right). Text, figures and tables should not appear outside these margins. Paragraphs should be fully justified.
Spaces & Paragraphs: Do not use the tab key for paragraphs. Always use a line to separate paragraphs, headings, subheadings, tables and figures.
Figures & Tables: Figures and tables should be integrated into the text. Numbers and associated text should be in Verdana 10 pt. centred and placed underneath the table or figure as shown in Table 1.

References: References should be collected at the end of your paper. Do not begin them on a new page unless this is absolutely necessary. They should be prepared according to a recognised style, e.g. the Harvard system, (see example below) making sure that your accumulated list corresponds to the citation made in the text body, and that all material mentioned is generally available to the reader.

5. PRESENTATIONS
If invited to present a full paper at the conference, please note that presentations should be in Microsoft® PowerPoint® and last no more than 20 minutes. Presentations will be followed by 5-10 minutes of questions. With a large number of papers to present during the conference, it is essential that presentation times are adhered to
